Who disturbs to evolve prosperous and healthful business-climate of promising “Diamond world”?
Mysterious “Russian soul” must be really hard to “catch up”…only if you have never bothered yourself with an attempt to compare this never-to-understand mystical being with any other, but familiar spirit. American, for example…
Wherever you hear “Freedom” in States – it sounds “Respect and authority” in Russia. What looks like American “tolerance” – seems to be “tastes differ” in Russia. And famous “large opportunities” of the “home of the brave”…well, in the Motherland it`s exactly the same now.
But those “large opportunities” isn`t the favorite economical and cultural trend for some of Russian authority holders. You probably know about so-called “old money” in United States…so, there are “old authorities” in Russian. Former soviet top-functionaries (also known as “nomenklatura”) are definitely not ready to five up their offices to new, progressive managers.
Those “conservative powers” – or, speaking honestly, retrogrades – are obsessed with crave for total control over something highly-valuable.
Diamond business, for example.
There is new worldwide-in-demand project to create a new business-space in Russia with powers and professional resources of Moscow diamond center called “Almazny mir” – “Diamond world”. No doubts, there will be the new platform for international partnership. Great expectations have those of self reliant and open-minded businessmen and respectable companies who eager to find new way of cooperation and development. But desire to occupy “Diamond world”, to convert highly-profitable organization with huge potential to expand into private money-maker – this desire is even greater. But only if you are stubborn, soviet-made functionary with bad habit to make money out of nothing, just sitting at the table – and the table is big one.
Luckily, there was massive restructuring in “Diamond world” to prevent some of those “old authorities” from unworthy acts. Now the company is part-government, part-private auctioneers.
Well, not bad for the country, who`s leader is claimed to be ex-KGB spy! Maybe it is the new step towards real democracy…and real international business.
