Легенда британской рок-музыки Пол Маккартни намерен жениться на 47-летней американке Нэнси Шевел. Об этом сообщает The Telegraph со ссылкой на американские издания.

Свое решение Маккартни принял после того, как осуществил давнюю мечту. В день своего 66-летия он отправился в путешествие по 7 американским штатам знаменитой трассой 66 в компании с Нэнси Шевел.

Прежде Маккартни и Шевел уже приходилось совершать совместные путешествия. В апреле пара отдыхала на берегу Карибского моря. Однако музыкант тщательно оберегал свои отношения от вмешательства прессы, которая неустанно следила за его бракоразводным процессом.

Напомним, что в марте этого года был завершен самый длинный в истории Великобритании бракоразводный процесс Маккартни и его второй супруги — Хизер Миллс . Несмотря на попытки Миллс захватить немалую часть состояния Маккартни, суд оценил компенсацию за развод в 25 миллионов фунтов стерлингов.

Однако в новом браке состоянию сэра Пола ничего не угрожает. Его новая избранница Нэнси Шевелл — из состоятельной американской семьи и является вице-президентом крупной транспортной компанией. Ее состояние оценивается в сотни миллионов долларов.

Выбор Маккартни поддерживают и его старшие дети, которые до этого довольно прохладно отзывались о предыдущей супруге музыканта.

По сообщению издания, Нэнси Шевелл в настоящее время заканчивает бракоразводный процесс со своим мужем, Брюсом Блейкманом, с которым уже давно живет раздельно.

В начале 90-х годов пара познакомилась с Маккартни и его первой женой — Линдой, умершей от рака груди в 1998 году. То же самое заболевание пришлось перенести и Шевелл. Сейчас она занимается привлечением средств на благотворительность в сфере онкологии.
