     Команда «Three Days Grace» была сформирована в 1997 году, в Норвуде, Онтарио, Канада, на осколках коллектива «Groundswell», существовавшего с 1992 года. В состав группы вошли: Adam Gontier (вокал, гитара), Brad Walst (бас) и Neil Sanderson (барабаны).В 1997, когда один из музыкантов, Барри Сток, покинул группу, оставшиеся трое выбрали себе новое имя – Three Days Grace. Их первый альбом с одноименным названием вышел в 2003 году и примерно тогда же Сток вновь присоединился к музыкантам, и трио опять превратилось в квартет.
      Группа перебралась из Норвуда в Торонто и встретила там продюсера Гавина Брауна, продюсировавшего команду Big Sugar, The Midway State, Billy Talent, Cancer Bats, Thornley, The Reason, The Tea Party, Danny Michel, Out of Your Mouth и др. Он помог им записать свою знаменитую «(I Hate) Everything About You», что вскоре привело к контракту с издательством «EMI» и рекорд-лэйблом "Jive". В след за этим, группа «Three Days Grace» в компании с Gavin Brown приступила к работе над дебютным альбомом. Работа велась на студиях: «Long View Farms Studios» (Север Брукфилда), «Bearsville Studios» (Вудсток), «Vespa Studios» и «A Room Full Of Stuff Studios». К работе над сведением альбома были привлечены знаменитые: Jay Baumgardner (Evanescence, Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Hoobastank, Coal Chamber, Korn, Machine Head и др.), Rich Costey (Muse, Franz Ferdinand, The Mars Volta, Doves, Bloc Party, Jimmy Eat World, My Chemical Romance, Audioslave, Rage Against the Machine, Dave Navarro, Mastodon и др.) и Randy Staub (Nickleback, P.O.D., Stone Sour, Lostprophets, Metallica, 3 Doors Down, Downset, Hatebreed, Soil, Kittie и др.)Одноименный альбом от «Three Days Grace» появился на прилавках музыкальных магазинов 22 июля 2003 года.Он вошел в десятку лучших альбомов по мнению Канадского чарта, в число 100 лучших из U.S. Billboard 200, и номер один на Billboard Top Heatseekers чарте.Сингл альбома "(I Hate) Everything About You", достиг номера один в Канаде и стал одним из десяти лучших в США.      В 2006 солист Адам Гонтье, басист Брэд Вальст, барабанщик Нил Сандерсон и гитарист Барри Сток отправились в Лос-Анджелес для работы над новым, более мощным и концептуально новым альбомом One-X. На этот раз Three Days Grace создали удивительно искреннюю и мощную пластинку, полную самых разнообразных эмоций, таких как грусть, гнев, страсть, одиночество, мрачность и многие другие, что является обязательным атрибутом высококачественного рока.    В июне 2006 года музыканты «Three Days Grace» представили свой очередной альбом «One-X», который стал дебютом для нового участника группы – второго гитариста Barry Stock. В поддержку пластинки команда совершила ряд концертных действ в компании с именитыми коллегами: «Staind», «Hoobastank» и «Nickelback».
