Hello! you know, I am fully agree with you, to start thinking in English is very big step for its improving, when you are watching films, listening to songs, having a practice in speaking you are doing progress, but not so good as when writing essays... Actually, I am not very good in this area of English at all, and I really do not know, how to improve it, when you have not a great vocabulary...
And what about the topic... Funally I am returning to the theme... You know, I think both types of gaining knowledge are good, sometimes knowledge gained from experience are better, cause some fields of our life like carpentry need skills based on practice, and some fields of our lifes for example high technologies, chemistry require more knowledges learned from books... In my opinion the knowledges gained from books are more important nowadays, I agree that before all the knowledge were gained by making experiments, and all this by making more practice than reading books, but the humanity must transfer the gained prgoress to the next generation and this by writing books.... And we should read them to take, explore and make something new for next generation... So, I think knowledge gained from the books as a source is more important!
